The current context of the Coronavirus pandemic and implicitly the movement restrictions were definitely a big set back towards achieving the desired results in terms of the A2 Promotion Package. First of all, the filming process was heavily undermined by the fact that we could only meet once and film together as we live in different cities. We planned to film at the beginning of March and meet at least 4 times, as there were 4 locations, in order to be able to see the footage and improve what we thought was needed . However, as the Covid-19 situation started to get worse, our parents considered we should come home, so we only managed to meet once and filmed in 2 locations, and after that I also met with Cari and Ana, (as Deea had to go home), in order to film at the other 2 places.
Moreover, when Ana and Cari started editing the video, they noticed we did not have enough footage so we tried to compensate by filming ourselves at home lip-syncing, but this was also kind of hard and did not turn out the way we wanted to. The fact that we could not meet at all, having to discuss everything online was also really difficult and frustrating, with disappointing final results as we had high expectations when we planned the process. Furthermore, as we could not properly discuss with our media teacher neither, because talking on Google Meet is not the same thing as having a real, face-to-face conversation, we had to figure most of the things on our own, in terms of editing for example. While staying at home, a big impediment was also the constant state of frustration and demotivation that I experienced as I felt overwhelmed with work but at the same time it was really hard for me in the first days to organise myself and adapt to the new circumstances.
Nevertheless, although there were many obstacles that we faced in the creation process such as lack of proper communication, we still tried to make the best of the given situation and still achieve a satisfying result.
