This was Cari Bejenaru and Ana Maria's responsability to do, but we have all contributed with ideas. Here,I will briefly describe some parts of the process which we discussed about together, but this is more complexly portrayed on the girl's own blogs.
We settled on using three different apps to edit the music video: iMovie, Sony Vegas Pro and Final Cut Pro. We used iMovie mainly for selecting the footage that will be used and arranging it in order to be cut-to-the-beat. We have also edited the colours a little, although Final Cut Pro proved to have much more advanced settings, and so arguably that Final Cut had given our video a more professional look in terms of editing.
We chose to apply a different tint for each girl: green, yellow, pink, and blue in order for the viewer to clearly distinguish each scene and create a narrative which enhances the differences of each girl. This was done in Final Cut Pro. We mainly used this app because of the high-quality appearance it gave the video: We edited the saturation, vibrance, exposure, contrast and tints in order to make each section of the video stand out more to the viewer. Moreover, Final Cut Pro has great transitions (for example, the transition between Ana's part of the music video and Andra's), which allows a smoother music video with more flow. We used Final Cut Pro to add the names of each girl in the introduction part of the music video in order to strengthen the connection between the viewers and the characters represented and engage them in the narrative we chose to portray.
